New manager of public relations will utilize her creative and analytical expertise in creating and maintaining the public image of the agency and clients.
COLORADO SPRINGS, July 20, 2023 – Vladimir Jones, a 100% women-owned and independent advertising agency, announced that Amanda Mastera has joined the Colorado-based team as the manager of public relations.
“The agency world is such a dynamic industry, with the most interesting minds. I love the fact that every day, I get to work with people who open my eyes to what is possible. With the addition of Amanda to the VJ team, I can honestly say that I’m not only seeing things in a new light, but also that I’m learning from her each and every day,” said Meredith Vaughan, CEO of Vladimir Jones.
Mastera has built her career in the highly visible (and often pressure-filled) world of collegiate athletics and the Olympic and Paralympic movement. Driven by a deep appreciation for the critical role innovation, creative storytelling, and strategic marketing must play in reuniting and connecting our world, she gained vast experience in strategic communications, crisis management and international public relations. She has also worked closely with high-profile athletes, executives, and clients, providing strategic communications counsel while managing high-level storytelling campaigns.
Most recently, at USA Fencing, Mastera was responsible for producing and directing the first-ever live media and video coverage of wheelchair fencing domestically. The live-streamed international action included a broadcast team of color commentators, analysts and Paralympians. The event was covered by both national and international news outlets and was notably highlighted in The Washington Post and viewed in 18 countries on the Olympic Channel.
“Human emotions and the stories we tell about them are made up of layers of biology, biography, behavior and backstory. I am excited and honored to be the steward storyteller for Vladimir Jones and I am thrilled to be part of such a tremendous team of experts,” said Mastera.
In addition to bringing a fresh multimedia approach to building and growing the agency’s brand reputation, Mastera’s expertise in client crisis management will be proactively drawn upon during client strategy planning and execution. “Amanda’s wealth of experience, practical approach to problem-solving and creative thinking has immediately made a significant impact on the agency, and for our clients,” added Vaughan.
