Keywords with a low quality score can really drag down the performance of your search campaigns. But with only so many hours in the day, who has time to parse through every keyword and make sure it’s yielding a strong quality score? I know I don’t.
A Google Ads Script can automate this task for you and help save valuable time. You can install the provided script on all Google Ads accounts to help automatically monitor the quality score of your keywords. This script will first look through all your enabled keywords, find the ones that are below the quality score threshold (that you set), add a label to those keywords, pause the low quality keywords (if you want it to), pull them together in a table, and email the results to you. Remember to set a frequency of when you want it to run – that way, you are always up to date. Personally, I like to get these reports in my inbox every Monday morning.
To install this script, first navigate to the Tools menu and select Scripts under Bulk Actions.
Next, click on the big blue plus sign to add a new script.
Then, you have to authorize the new script to make changes to your account. To do that, click on the Authorize button and allow the new script to manage changes to your Google Ads account. Once you have done that, paste the entire block of code into the box, change the example email addresses to your email, click Save and then click Run.
Congratulations, you are now an automation wizard! Scripts for Google Ads are super valuable and versatile, and you can use them to perform all kinds of time-saving tasks. Now you can stop wasting your time monitoring your keywords’ quality scores and get back to what really matters.
