Agency Voice
Vladimir Jones, an integrated marketing agency that helps brands achieve their hopes and dreams, is in search of a voice. An Agency Voice to be specific. Don’t get us wrong—we have plenty of loud people in our agency of 70+. But we are looking for that one special person who knows how to take those 70+ voices and combine them into the one voice of Vladimir Jones (without using auto-tune). Our ideal candidate/ventriloquist will have a primary background in public relations, community relations, social media and hopefully project management. This person not only knows what a deadline is, but completely freaks out if we miss one.
If you are thinking this is your dream job, know that you would be responsible for:
- Translating the vision of the agency president to employees, clients, prospects and the rest of the world.
- Ensuring VJ is entered in to all relevant awards and tradeshows across all marketing disciplines.
- Generating visibility for the agency through aggressive media relations, speaking opportunities and sheer will power.
- Developing creative outreach to current and potential clients.
- Being the guardian of the Vladimir Jones brand voice in all that we do both internally and externally.
- Working across all departments within the agency (creative, media, brand communications, digital, production, new business to name a few) and making sure everyone “gets it.” This includes working with/understanding “production” within an integrated agency.
- Maintaining, and at times evolving the culture of Vladimir Jones while making sure you don’t mess with a good thing—and that means planning and executing some of our signature events like our Halloween Over-Reaction and anniversary parties.
- Measuring the heck out of all you do so that when someone says “what have you been up to?” you can whip out a spreadsheet with some pretty graphs and charts and show them, instead of just saying “oh, you know. The usual.”
- Did we mention social media?
The fact is, this is a hugely important position to Vladimir Jones and it is unique within our agency and it is likely pretty unique within your career path. But it requires energy, enthusiasm, vision, follow through, determination, some guts and some mad communications skills. Assuming you possess all of those, this is your opportunity to influence the trajectory of a brand that has thrived for 41 years but still feels it has a TON of impact to make on this world.
If you have considered all of the above, at length, and you really feel like you are the right one for the job, please apply here with whatever pieces of information you believe to be relevant to demonstrate your background, experience and skills. But please know ahead of time that a standard cover letter and resume that you have sent to 50 other agencies isn’t going to cut it. And trust us. .we’ll know. . .
